how to stop calendar from changing time zones

Hi, I have a macbook air running El Capitan, and a mini ipad and iphone. I have managed to set the settings on my ipad and iphone so that my calendar remains in the cupertino time Zone no matter where I go and I no longer have the problem of having it switch time zones when I travel and mess up all my appointments. But my mac keeps doing it, even though I have time zone support off. So I am in Chicago now and it has changed all my appointments to central time, when I want them to stay the way I set them originally, on cupertino time.

How do I stop it from changing and how do I get my calendar back to Cupertino time? I imagine that since it is still accurate on my ipad there might be some way to delete it on the computer and import from the ipad, but I dont know how. And it wont do any good unless I figure out how to keep the calendar from changing around on my mac. I have read all the info I can find online and find it totally confusing and still dont know how to fix it.
